My Commander (MyCO) is a fast and compact file manager exclusively built for Windows. Featuring a dual-panel layout, My Commander is user-friendly and provides a streamlined approach to file management.
One of the standout features of My Commander is its free and fast functionality, based on the new API of Windows 7. This software has a small memory footprint, making it smart and efficient. It is ultra-portable and requires no installation.
My Commander includes two panels for easy navigation and supports drag and drop operations. It has a separate History list for navigation, which makes it easy to access home folders, downloads, and documents. Additionally, it has built-in copy, move, delete, and multi-rename functionalities for files and folders. It also includes a shredder to securely delete files and sparse file support.
Moreover, My Commander can create, delete, and rename junctions, hard links, symbolic links, and mountpoints. It also features a built-in multi-rename tool and supports multiple themes. The software has a HEX, text, RTF, DOCX, ODF, and image viewer, as well as a font files viewer with TTF, OTF, and WOFF formats support. It can even preview PDF files (based on Acrobat Reader or Foxit).
This software has file properties and context menus, allowing users to change file attributes as needed. Additionally, it includes a built-in command line to launch programs and supports most keyboard shortcuts and navigation. It's LITE too, without the need for DLLs (OCX, VBX, VB, MFC, Java, Flash).
My Commander has integrated Web Search, enabling users to select the search engine of their choice and type what they're searching for into the box. It also provides powerful CRC support, including CRC32, CRC32c (hardware and software), CRC64, MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, SHA3-256, SHA3-512, and Blake2s.
Additionally, My Commander offers impressive encryption capabilities, including AES, RC4, DES, 3DES, and others. It supports encoding with Base64 and can create and extract archives such as Zip, 7z, ISO, TAR, CPIO, XZ, LZMA, GZIP, and BZIP2. It can extract files from archives RAR5, XAR, DEB, APK, IPK, and ISO. The software includes SSH support and secure file transfer protocols, including SCP and SFTP.
Lastly, My Commander provides a find and replace feature in its text viewer and editor. It also supports multi-language functionality, including English, Spanish, and Russian. The author behind this software is Prof. Alex Averian of Yonan Research.
